The Threads to My Heart are Wrapped around a Hook

    I fell in love with beaded purses several years ago when I started haunting the antique malls on the weekends.  Seeing all the beautiful designs filled me with awe and wonder. There is an ageless quality to a beaded purse. The beautiful pieces of art that were created with such simple materials made me appreciate how creative our ancestors really were. The beads make the colors seem to come alive and the color lasts for years and years. Most of the purses I have seen are just as vibrant today as the day they were made. They are just as beautiful and useful today as they were in our grandmother's time. . It is no wonder they were popular then and are still popular.

  What I have tried to create are beaded purses and handbags done in crochet that are beautiful and practical. With all the charm of a vintage bag, but durable enough to use every day. My designs are original and all the beadwork is hand done. I love the creative process. To take an idea and give it shape and substance gives me immense satisfaction.  I will never personally do more than two purses in each design. I want to keep creating not replicating. I have enough ideas and designs in the works to keep me busy for a long time.  All the purses I have personally done will have my label.

   I know that there are people out there who enjoy the creative process and want to make their own. For them I am offering the patterns and kits. I will also try and carry some of the purse frames that I have used and some of the threads, as I know how hard it can be to find all these things.
